The Rolex GMT-Master II, reference 126711CHNR, is a distinctive bi-metal sports watch combining Oystersteel and 18ct Everose gold. Dating from 2024, its 40mm case is complemented by a matching Oyster bracelet and the instantly recognisable black-and-brown Cerachrom ceramic bezel. This colour combination has earned the model its popular “Root Beer” nickname. The black dial features highly legible Chromalight hour markers, an Everose gold-edged GMT hand and a date display at 3 o’clock beneath Rolex’s signature Cyclops lens.
Powering the watch is Rolex’s automatic Calibre 3285, a self-winding mechanical GMT movement featuring the Chronergy escapement and an approximately 70-hour power reserve. Its independently adjustable local-hour hand allows convenient setting when travelling, while the additional GMT hand and 24-hour bezel enable simultaneous tracking of another time zone.
