A Rolex GMT-Master reference 16700 “Pepsi”, dating to 1989 and crafted in stainless steel with a classic 40mm Oyster case and bracelet. Its glossy black dial features luminous hour markers, Mercedes hands, a Cyclops date display and the iconic red-and-blue aluminium 24-hour bezel, while the red GMT hand provides the unmistakable finishing touch to this celebrated travel-watch design.

Power comes from the Rolex Calibre 3175, a 31-jewel automatic movement running at 28,800 vph with approximately 48 hours of power reserve, hacking seconds, and a quick-set date. The 16700 also introduced sapphire crystal to the original GMT-Master line and retained its traditional linked hour/GMT-hand architecture.

The 16700 was the final reference of the original GMT-Master, produced from 1988 until 1999, with comparatively fewer examples produced than its contemporary GMT-Master II. Its early tritium-era specification, iconic Pepsi colourway and complete documentation make it a compelling neo-vintage Rolex collectable with significant long-term appreciation potential.
